Inside this guide

At a glance

  • The creator suggests 70% traffic products under $20 and 30% high-profit products above $20, with at least a 10% margin after eBay fees.
  • Research uses Zik Analytics to scan competing dropshippers and an AI Autopilot scan filtered by rating, competition, Prime and recent sales.
  • Promoted Listings General is recommended at a starting ad rate of about 3%, paid only when a sale is attributed to the ad.

Why 1,000 sales a month is a system question

The video treats a thousand monthly eBay sales as the result of a routine, not luck: a warmed-up account, regular selling-limit increases, a mix of cheap traffic products and higher-margin items, and research based on what competitors already sell. That framing is helpful, but the supplier choice at the heart of the method runs into eBay's own rules, which is worth knowing before anyone copies it.

All The Gate view (opinion, not fact)

This is the All The Gate reading, not a fact. For sellers anywhere, the strongest parts of the video are the habits: keep margins positive after fees, use a product monitor so stock and price changes do not turn into cancelled orders, and price close to proven competitors. The weak spot is sourcing. The video recommends Amazon as the beginner supplier, but eBay's dropshipping policy only allows fulfilling orders from a wholesale supplier and says that buying the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships to your buyer is not allowed; eBay has also said such sellers are lowered in search. That can mean removed listings or account limits, which is the opposite of scaling. On cost, opening an eBay account is free, but the method leans on paid layers: eBay fees, promoted listing fees, a product monitor and a research tool, with Zik Analytics showing yearly eBay plans on its homepage. Anyone testing this should price those in and look at wholesale suppliers first.

What eBay and the tool makers actually say

  • eBay, “Dropshipping” policy page (checked October 31, 2026): dropshipping where you fulfil orders directly from a wholesale supplier is allowed, but listing an item and then buying it from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to the customer is not; possible actions include removing listings, warnings, restricted activity or account suspension.
  • eBay Seller Centre, “Seller protections” (checked October 31, 2026): sellers who use retailers or marketplaces to ship directly to buyers are described as violating the dropshipping policy and are lowered in search results, giving more visibility to sellers with their own inventory or wholesale dropshipping.
  • Zik Analytics homepage (checked October 31, 2026): a Halloween deal lists eBay Pro at $168 per year and eBay Pro+ at $240 per year on yearly plans, and the tool menu includes eBay Autopilot and Market Insights as shown in the video. Prices were seen at that moment and may have changed.

Platforms and tools in the video

  • eBay, including Seller Hub and Promoted Listings
  • Zik Analytics, with Market Insights, competitor research and Autopilot
  • Amazon and Walmart, named as sources in the video
  • A product monitoring tool to sync stock and prices, not named specifically

You hear this sound? This is the most satisfying sound for an eBay seller. Now, imagine hearing this sound a thousand times in 1 month. That's exactly why I created this video to help you understand how to reach a thousand sales in 1 month on eBay. Here is a good example. Look at this eBay dropshipper here. This seller is dropshipping products from Amazon and Walmart to eBay and managed to generate 1,306 sales in the past 30 days and generated over $400,000 in sales. And this seller isn't the only one. Achieving numbers like these don't require luck or special skills. It's all about building the right system. And in this video, I'm going to show you step-by-step how to build that system and work toward 1,000 sales per month on eBay. Here's what we're going to learn in this video. How to set up your eBay account the right way. How to increase your selling limits. The best product combination to reach 1,000 sales in 1 month. How to find trending products and successful dropshippers. How to use AI to find multiple products at once. How to price your products for maximum conversions. How to use promoted listings to increase your sales. This is a step-by-step blueprint built around strategies used by successful eBay dropshippers to reach 1,000 sales per month and even more. So, let's start with the first step. So, let's talk about how to open an eBay seller account. The process is pretty simple, but it's important to do it the right way. So, just follow along with me. First, here's a tip from me. Create a separate email account just for your eBay store. eBay sends lots of emails including order updates, payouts, and policy notifications. Having a dedicated email will help you keep your business organized from day one. Now, go to ebay.com and click register. Here, you'll need to choose between two account types, personal or business. A personal account can be enough if you're just starting as an individual seller, but if you're planning to operate a registered business and scale it over time, a business account is generally a better option. For this example, I'll choose a personal, but the process is very similar for a business account. Enter your full name, email address, and password, and click create account. Next, add your phone number and enter the verification code eBay sends you. Once that's done, go to My eBay, click selling, and provide any additional information eBay requires. Then, go to personal information and make sure your email address, phone number, and other required details are verified. And that's it. You've created an eBay account. You can continue setting up for selling. And here's another tip. If you already have an eBay buyer account, you can use that same account to start selling. This can be useful because the account already has some history, although it doesn't guarantee higher selling limits. Now, the next step is to connect a bank account so you can receive payments from your eBay sales. Go to selling and click create listing. Type your product name, choose the condition, add a title, upload some product images, and fill in the basic details. Next, add a short description, set your price, and choose buy it now. Then, complete the shipping details, including the shipping method, package information, item location, and return options. Once you've filled in the required information, continue with the listing process. At this point, eBay may ask you to complete your seller registration and set up your payouts. Sometimes this happens earlier in the process. Here, you'll need to connect the bank account where you want to receive your money from eBay sales. Simply follow the verification steps and make sure your banking details match your seller information. Once everything is verified, you're ready to start selling and receiving payments through eBay. Now, let's talk about warming up your eBay account. What I recommend doing before adding drop shipping products is to start by listing a few products you already have at home to warm up the eBay account. These can be inexpensive items like t-shirts, stamps, or other everyday products you no longer need. You might even generate your first sale from these products. So, during your first couple of weeks, I recommend adding a few products and the learning how everything works. At the same time, you can also buy a few inexpensive products that you actually need to build up your feedback score. Here's something important to know. On eBay, buyer feedback and seller feedback both contribute to your overall feedback score. After around 2 weeks, you can gradually start adding drop shipping products. Now, here's something crucial for our plan to reach 1,000 sales per month on eBay, and that's increasing your selling limits. When you first start selling on eBay, your account may have limits on how many items you can list or sell each month. So, to request a selling limit increase, simply follow these steps. Click help and contact at the top of the eBay homepage. In the search bar, type selling limit increase. Open the relevant article and follow the steps to request a limit increase. If the automated option isn't available, don't worry. You can also try contacting an eBay representative through chat or phone by going to help and contact, contact us. When speaking with a representative, explain that you're building an online business and need higher selling limits to continue growing. Always stay polite and professional and be ready to explain your business plans and how you intend to fulfill orders. Here's a pro tip. Set yourself a reminder to check your selling limits every 30 days and see whether you're eligible to request another increase. Keep in mind that eBay doesn't guarantee an increase every 30 days. Approval depends on factors such as your account history, selling performance, and business needs. Now, let's talk about how an eBay dropshipping store should look if our goal is to generate 1,000 orders per month. For this, I like to divide the products into two categories: traffic products, high-profit products. The idea is simple. Traffic products are the fuel of your eBay store. These are inexpensive products, usually priced under $20, that buyers can purchase daily without thinking too much about the price. Here is a good example of a traffic product. It's an inexpensive evergreen and can generate daily sales. The profit margin might be relatively small, but it can still be decent. And here's why I like these products. They can help you generate constant orders, build your selling history, and improve your seller performance metrics. And these sales help build momentum for your eBay store, strengthening your selling history and overall performance, and that leads to exposure and product visibility across the eBay store. Now, let's talk about high-profit products. These are products that sell for more than $20 and offer a healthy profit margin, ideally 15% or higher. Here's an example. This product is selling on eBay for $67.50. And here is the sourcing option I found on Amazon. The sourcing price is only $41.99, leaving around $14 in profit after estimated eBay fees. Now, after spending a long time testing different product strategies and analyzing other successful drop shippers, I came to the conclusion that a good starting combination is 70% traffic products and 30% high-profit products. This is the balance I recommend testing because the traffic products can help you generate constant sales volume, while the high-profit products focus on generating more profit per order. Now, before we start our product research, I like to keep everything organized. And for this, every time I start researching products, I create a folder inside Zeke where I can save all of the profitable products I find. Later, we'll use this folder to add those products to our eBay store. So, I'll go to my products, click create new folder, name it with today's date, and click save. That's it. Now, every profitable product we find during our research will be saved in this folder so we can easily access it and list it to our eBay later. Now, we're moving to the product research phase, and the goal is simple. Add products based on data, not guesswork. For this, I'm using Zeke Analytics, a product research tool that collects massive amounts of data from eBay and helps us to understand what buyers are currently purchasing. Here, I'm inside Market Insights. And for beginners, I recommend starting with Amazon as a supplier for our 1,000 sales per month strategy. The reason is simple. Amazon offers fast shipping on many products and generally provides good customer service. So, here I'm setting the marketplace to ebay.com, the business model to drop shipping, and the source website to amazon.com. Now, to find profitable product opportunities, especially high-profit products, I like to start by scanning other successful competitors, finding their best-selling products, and selling the same or similar products in my own drop shipping store. And here's where the trending drop shipper section comes in. This section is updated every 24 hours, and it's a great place to discover and analyze other drop shippers. These sellers are identified as drop shippers sourcing from Amazon, and they're working with the same business model we're researching. So, let's scan this seller here, Brin Bird Store. Now, I have a complete analysis of this eBay drop shipper, including their best-selling products and sales performance. But, I want to be strategic here and focus specifically on high-profit products. So, I'll use the filters to show only products that sold at least two times in the last 7 days, have a selling price of at least $20. And now, I can see the top performing products that match my requirements. Let's take a look at this product, the tire inflator. Now, I can see that this product has good demand on eBay. It sold four times in the past 7 days. And this is exactly what I like to see. Products that are generating sales right now. Now, when I click on the Amazon box, I can see that Zeke also found an exact match for this product. And if I sell it at the same price, the estimated profit after eBay fees is $4.69 per sale, giving me a profit margin of over 14% before other expenses. That's exactly the type of product opportunity we're looking for. If I like this product, I can simply save it to the folder we created earlier. And later in this video, I'll show you how to upload these products into your product monitor. Now, this is just one product out of many opportunities we can find by scanning this competitor. But here's something important. I don't want to find this seller today and forget about them tomorrow. Instead, I'll save the seller to my watch list so I can come back every week, scan their store again, and discover any new products that are starting to generate sales. The idea is to build an army of strong competitors, regularly analyze their stores, and focus on adding products that are already selling successfully. That's why using AI can be a game-changer. With just one request, you can discover multiple profitable product opportunities in seconds and save yourself hours of manual product research. For this, I'm going to use a tool inside Zeke called Autopilot. Here, I'll click create a new scan, and you can follow my exact filters to find highly targeted products. First, I'll name this scan using today's date to keep everything organized. Something like winning products from Autopilot, October 13th, 2026. Next, I'll select the categories. Here, I like to remove categories that aren't suitable for my drop shipping strategy, such as food, collectibles, and other categories I prefer to avoid. For the rating, I'll set a minimum of four stars to focus on products with good customer reviews. For competition, I'll set the maximum of 12 competitors to avoid products with too many sellers competing against each other. Next, I'll select Prime only to focus on products with Amazon Prime shipping eligibility. For sales, I'll set a minimum of 2 days in the past 7 days because I want to find products that are generating sales on eBay right now. And finally, I'll set my minimum price to $15, giving us more room to find products with decent profit margins. And for product amount, I will add 30% from what I need. So, if I want 100 products, I will ask for 130 products because some products can include Vero or not match to my product requirements. Once everything is ready, I'll click create scan. Now, here I can see all the products Autopilot found that match our filters. And here's one of the secrets to finding products that can help us reach 1,000 sales per month on eBay. Focus on products with low competition first. The fewer competitors selling the same product, the better chance you have of getting a share of those sales. So, let's take a look at this product here, cotton yarn. This is a great example of an everyday product. According to the data, there's only one competitor selling this product, and it generated 11 sales in the past 30 days. Now, here's the nice part. Autopilot can automatically match the eBay product with its source on Amazon. So, here I can see that the eBay seller is selling this product for $19.09 while the Amazon sourcing price is only $9.03. Guys, that's around $7 of profit per sale after eBay fees. Now, what I'll do is simply review the products I like and select the ones I want to add to my store. From here, I can either export the selected products as a CSV file or upload some or all of them directly to a product monitor integrated with Zeke. And if you don't see the product monitor you're currently using, don't worry. You can simply download a CSV file and import the products into any product monitoring tool. If you're enjoying this video so far, make sure to hit the like button and subscribe to the channel. It really helps us out. And if you want to use the same tools I'm using to find winning products on eBay, you can start using Zeke Analytics today. Another important thing to keep in mind is that to reach 1,000 sales per month on eBay, you'll need a product monitoring tool. A product monitor tracks inventory levels and price changes from your suppliers and automatically updates your eBay listings accordingly. This is extremely important because you don't want to sell a product that's out of stock or lose money because your supplier increased the price without you noticing. These days, you can find plenty of good product monitoring tools. And as you start scaling your store and adding hundreds or even thousands of products, having a product monitor becomes a must-have. Now, it helps you automate your daily operations, protect your profit margins, and to manage a large number of listings without checking every product manually. So, here's a question many eBay drop shippers ask. How should I price my products on eBay to maximize sales? The answer is pretty simple. First, you need to make sure that every sale generates profit. And for products sourced from Amazon, I would recommend aiming for a minimum profit margin of 10% after eBay fees while also accounting for any additional expenses. Now, to maximize your sales, here's a simple strategy I like to use. Look at the prices of competitors who are already selling the same product successfully and try pricing your product just 20 to 30 cents lower. One of the most powerful tools eBay offers to increase your product's visibility in search results is promoted listings. Here's how it works. When you promote a listing, eBay gives it additional exposure through sponsored placements in search results. Instead of being buried on page five, your product could potentially appear on page one, making it much easier for buyers to find. Think of it like placing your product in a front window of a store where more people walking by can see it. And here's the best part. With promoted listings general, you only pay an advertising fee when a sale is attributed to your promoted listings under eBay's attribution rules. It's a pay-per-sale model, meaning you're paying for attributed sales rather than clicks. Now, let me show you how to get it set up easily. Go to your eBay Seller Hub and click on listings. Click all filters, then select promoted listings. Choose promoted listings eligible to see listings that are eligible for promotion. Next, click select all, then sell [snorts] faster, and choose promote. Select promoted listings general, choose your campaign, and set your ad rate. I recommend testing a starting rate of around 3% per sale if that rate is available for your listing. And that's it, simple and effective. And that's it, guys. Now you have a step-by-step strategy to work towards 1,000 sales per month on eBay.
