In this video, I'm going to show you the exact playbook we implement behind the stores of our clients. With this exact playbook, we generated over 40 million euros in only 2026. So, let me show you in this video the top 10 Google Shopping Optimizations. This is the first YouTube Masterclass from MerchantFly, so I hope you learn a lot about it. And if you have any questions or some recommendations about a new Masterclass, let me know down in the comments. Besides the shopping optimizations, I always get a lot of questions about CTR, AOV, CPCs, those kind of things. So, if you would like to know something about these things, let me know on my Instagram MerchantFly. So, let me show you some recent results we booked with our clients. If you don't know me, I am Max and I'm the owner of MerchantFly. When I was younger, I was a dropshipper by myself. I owned some brands and these days we have our Google Ads agency. We literally scale people up to 300k per month within 30 days. So, we have a home and living brand over here. They're advertising in the United States. What we did with them, we onboarded them in April and we literally scaled them to 1.5 million in US dollars within an half of a year. Then the next one, this is a pet niche store. What we did, we onboarded this store around April. We scaled it up to 100k per month after we got a small seasonal switch, but since we are in Q4, we are gaining back that momentum. And then the third one, this is a fashion brand. We scaled it up to almost 78k in US dollars within 2 months. We onboarded this store at the 1st of September and we literally doubled the revenue within 30 days. So, it's very easy if you know what you do. You have the right demand, you have the right media buyer, then the sky's the limit. So, I'm going to lead you through this presentation and like I said, if you have any questions, let me know in the comments. So, what we are going to do, the top 10 Google Shopping levers behind these results. In Google Shopping, your product data, price, trust, and offer decide how often you show up and how often people click and buy. So, it's very important to set up everything properly because Google isn't a platform that's just a plug and play like Meta. So, what to change the optimization in one sentence? Why it works, what it does to visibility, clicks, or sales, and how we do it, Google's rules, and our exact approach. So, let's go through the list together. One foundation, 10 optimizations. Optimize product titles on search intent. Use eye-catching, high-quality images. Make your prices more competitive. Collect more reviews. It's very important to have trust on Google since it literally works on trust. Use sale prices and promotions. Enrich your feed with relevant attributes. It's very important to keep improving your feed. Segment products on CTR and performance. If you don't do these things, it's very hard to become profitable on Google. Improve your shipping offer. Test different product images. Optimize on search demand and relevance. Use shopping add-ons in the Merchant Center. So, these 10 optimizations, I'm going to explain you detailed how we implement it on the brands of our clients. So, I'm going to show you everything exactly. Optimize your product titles on search intent. Shopping has no keywords to bid on. Google matches your product to searches through your product data, and the title is the strongest signal you control because if your title doesn't have demand, you can just tweak it a little bit with AI, but it doesn't make sense. You have to literally improve your title. So, for example, your brand, product type, key attribute, audience, color, and size. It doesn't make sense to name your product on a name that hasn't any intent. I see a lot of brands using words as Sophia, Fallory, those kind of names. Who is searching on these keywords? I don't know. So, it's literally a waste of spend. Also, make sure that your titles are not too short. For example, if you use the Aspen, no one is going to search for it, and there are also no straight details in the title that can lead in the end by a search to your shopping listing. So, it's important to put these details in. So, for example, the brand waterproof men's parka. It's waterproof, it's for a man, and it is a parka. So, it makes sense. Recycled nylon black. People are searching for the color, people are searching for the waterproof detail, people are searching for the gender, and also for the kind of jacket. It's not way harder than that, guys. So, write titles for the search, not for your brand. Then the next one, use eye-catching high-quality product images. Like I said in the introduction, are you going to buy something that has a poor image? It literally leads to weak trust. So, you need to have those optimized images. Your image is the first thing a shopper sees, and that's true. If you are buying something by yourself, the first thing you see is a picture. It's the visual thing you see. So, you can see the title, but the title doesn't say anything if you don't see an image. So, a sharp, clean product photo earns a click. So, you can improve your CTR by having a nice, clean, and optimized image. And also, don't copy your images from other brands, because then you are literally price competing. A dark or cluttered one loses it to the listing next to you. Make sense, right? So, you can use 1,500 by 1,500. The minimum size is 500 by 500. I wouldn't recommend to use a lot of small images, because on your product page itself, it looks very weak. Max file size 16 MB. Not allowed promo text, watermarks, or borders. A lot of people are just trying these things, like, let me put a sales announcement in my shopping. It's not allowed, so please don't do these things. It's just a waste of time, and Google sees it. Then number two, make your prices more competitive. Shopping shows your price right next to your competitor. So, if you have the same product for a complete different price. So, for example, your competitor is selling it for 20 euros, and you with your exact same image is selling it for 90. Why Why sell it for 90? It's not a premium version. It's 100% the same. If you're clearly more expensive for the same product, you lose the click before your page get a chance. Also, Google Shopping doesn't trust these kind of stores that have way too expensive or way too low prices. So then, three quick situations. Above market healthy margin, you can test a lower price. Above market thin margin, compete on bundle or shipping. So you can do some extra add-ons. At or below market, keep the price, win on image and reviews. Because reviews and going to talk more about reviews in this presentation later, but reviews are very important as well. You can also compare your prices in the Merchant Center. A lot of people don't know this, but you can literally compare in your Merchant Center with your competitors. What is their pricing? What is your pricing? And what would be the best price for your store? So, the conclusion, compare against the market, then decide with your margin. Then number three, collect more product reviews. And this is a very important one because Google works on trust. If you have a lot of reviews, for example, Google reviews, Trustpilot's reviews, some own reviews on your store. This is helping a client to do a purchase. Star ratings make a listing stand out and build trust before the click. So if you have some reviews, you can create in your Merchant Center an add-on to put these reviews for the exact specific product into your Google Shopping. And what is important, of course, that you optimize your funnels so you can generate these reviews because a lot of people don't do anything with this. They just work to the first purchase and then they think I'm going to leave my customer and never have to see him again on my store. That's a very wrong thing to do. It works on customer retention. So ask for these reviews. If your quality is good, people are going to put the reviews in 100% for sure. So then, some rules. The minimum, 50 reviews across all of your products. Freshness, review data updated at least monthly. A lot of people have reviews from 6 months ago. It doesn't make sense. Update these things. The source, a supported review app or direct upload. And the onboarding, usually two to four weeks. So the conclusion here, ask every customer for a review after delivery. So, not directly after delivery. Maybe give them a little discount, maybe 10% on their next order. It's literally a free sale for the 10% you're giving to them, so there's no ad spend on the sale, and you have a review. So, what do you want more? The next one, use sale prices and promotions. A stock true price makes a deal visible right in the results. Google only shows it when the sale is real by its rules. Promotions like a coupon codes are set up separately in Merchant Center. So, yeah. What is very important? You can work with a welcome discount code. So, you can literally get all these email addresses in for your email marketing. You can put your own products in the sale, but I don't recommend to do it more than 50% because otherwise it looks like you're a thrift shop, your quality is bad, so I would never recommend to do that. But, of course, if you would like to make a lot of sales, you can do it, especially in Q4. But, if you work more on the quality, I would not recommend to do more than 50%. But, if you want, you can do it up to 90%. But, it looks a little bit strange in my opinion. So, then, the rule and the requirement, the attributes, price plus sales price, the discount more than 5% less than is a lot. Price history, base price valid 30 of the past 200 days. And then the landing page shows both prices. What happens a lot is that people have some kind of price in the shopping and on their store a completely different price. So, people think it's for example more cheap when they click on it, but whenever they come on your store, it's more expensive. So, that's like a wasted click. And what is also very important is I see a lot of brands in store just putting random sales in without an announcement. It's always very important to tell your client why it is actually in the sale. So, for example, the winter sale, Black Friday sale, Valentine sale, Easter sale, doesn't matter, Halloween sale. You can do everything, but make sure you put these things on your store, otherwise people don't know why anything is in the sale, and it looks again like a thrift shop. And that's why I'm saying uh run real sales and let Google show them. Number five, enrich your feed with relevant attributes. So, what you can do in for example Cannibal or Shopify is putting in the meta fields. The less meta fields you put in, the more expensive it is in your Google Ads to see what kind of ICP you have, what kind of product it is. So, for example, if you put in a good GTIN, your brand, MPN, the color, size, gender, and the age group. Material, you can do it, but for example, if you have fake leather, I would not recommend to do it because it doesn't make sense. Then the pattern, if you just implement all these things, your Google account gets more smart and it will save you a lot of ad spend. And don't be that lazy guy who thinks it should be fine, it will be fine. That's not true. You need to use the meta fields. Then number six, segment products on CTR and performance. If you don't segment your products based on CTR or performance, you will lose a lot of money because CTR tells you if the listing is working or not. If it not converts, your product page is not good. So, then you know the bottleneck. If the CTR is good, but the product doesn't sell, there is something wrong. The price, the image, maybe something on the product page, but it doesn't work. If your CTR is high and you sell a lot, it's a winning product. But there comes the next part and that is the ROAS. So, if the if the CTR is good and the product is selling well, but the ROAS is bad, it's still not a winning product. So, three things here are very important. CTR, performance, and then with the ROAS combined. So, high CTR, high performance, scale. High CTR, low performance, fix the page. Low CTR, high performance, fix the listing. Low CTR, low performance, limit or kill. Easy as that. Number seven, improve your shipping offer. Shipping cost and delivery time are part of your offer. Shoppers compare them in the results and a surprise at checkout kills the sale. So, what a lot of people do, they have like shipping costs, but they don't show it on the store. And whenever or is putting something in their checkout, and then they see the shipping cost, they will leave the page, and it's a loss. So, use the right shipping cost per country, a free shipping threshold, or free shipping at all, of course, handling and transit times, and your return policy. These things are very important. So, the conclusion here, show shipping clearly and make it a reason to buy. If it's inconsistent, like I said, on the store it looks like it's free shipping, but whenever they come in the checkout and it's not, it's killing for your business. Then, number eight, test different product images. What works for one product group can fail for another. Product only or on a module, front or angle, test it instead of guessing. Because for not every kind of product you need to have an AI image, for example, if we talk about the fashion niche. If you sell to the right ICP, people will see themselves in the ICP, and they will buy the product because they have the same shape as the AI model or your actual model has. So, the test setup, pick a product group with enough traffic, change only the main image because the second and third image does not really matter directly in the shopping. Of course, it helps for the conversion, but for the CTR, it doesn't really matter. Then, run it for a fixed period, compare profit per click. Also very important, profit per click. Keep in mind, something different than cost per click. And then, if it doesn't work out, keep trying, AB test, and see what will work and scale what works. So, conclusion, change one thing, judge on profit, not on clicks. Number nine, optimize on search demand and product relevance. Your search terms report shows what people actually type before they click. Use it both ways. Add what sells, block what waste money. So, for example, the search term and the action, the signal and the action. If it converts well, add the words to titles and descriptions. Many clicks, no sales, add as a negative keyword. Very important. Wrong products show up, fix product type and category. Also, a lot of people don't even know what a product category is. So, if you do Google, do your research what actual and product category is, and split these things. Demand but no matching product, consider adding the product. about it. So, the conclusion here, let real searches shape your feed. Then, number 10, and a lot of people, especially people that doing their own ads, don't know these things. Use shopping ads on in the Merchant Center. So, what can you do in the Merchant Center? You can add promotions, for example, a welcome code. You can use the product ratings, like I said, the reviews. You can put them literally in the listings. A lot of people don't know these things. It helps a lot in the shopping. Store reviews, ratings for your store as a wall. It's very important to have these things. And the loyalty, you can implement member prices and perks. So, Merchant Center has free extras that make your listing richer. You'll find them under settings, tools, and add-ons. If you apply for an add-on, Google has to accept these add-ons first. So, the conclusion here, turn on every add-on you qualify for. So, this is case number one. We implement all 10 steps I just explained in this video in this brand. So, we did 1 million in euros, 1.1 million, since February. The thing is, we took over the advertisements in July. So, what we saw, a growth of almost 13k% the biggest jump from July to August from 62k to almost 300k per month. So, yeah, that's what we literally did. So, if you use these 10 steps, it's very important to go for maybe 5x in a short period. And what I mean with a short period, I mean 30 days, like we did over here. Then the next one, almost 450k in US dollars within 5 months. We took over the ads in July, so that's in 4 months. And the total time of this brand that is existing is 5 months, but we took it over like 4 months ago. What we did, we increased the monthly revenue from 70k to 178k per month, and we are increasing every month. So, I expect this brand will be on 400k a month this Q4. So, if you want this for your store, we'll check your account against the 10 tips. So, if we do an audit, we don't just do a Google Ads audit, like a lot of media buyers do. We also check these 10 things. And in my opinion, I don't think these things are tips, but these things are requirements to become successful. Because like I said, Google is not plug and play and also a lot of media buyers don't know what they do exactly since they only have knowledge of Google and not really about branding. But let me tell you one thing. If you have a media buyer that you see like an external partner and that is just doing some things on the other side of your business and you speak to each other once a week, it's not going to work. If you hire a media buyer in your team and you are talking with full of your team combined with the media buyer, scale of the front end and the back end, it will be a 100% success. Because without the back end, you can't scale on the front end and also in the other way around. So the reason why we book insanely results with our clients is because we are going to the next step with our clients. We hop on calls with them. We respond quickly and also we ask questions to the client like what is the plan with the brand and how can we help improve on the front end? So, if you would like to book an audit call and it's 100% completely free, just send me a message on my Instagram MerchantFly or book your call directly under this video. And yeah, like I said, it's free, right? So, why would you not do it? It's just some extra free value. So guys, that was the video for today. I would like to thank you for watching. Like I said multiple times in this presentation, if you have any questions about whatever with Google Ads, with your brand, send me a message on my Instagram MerchantFly or reach out to me on LinkedIn Mark Sterling and I will answer shortly and maybe we will get a crazy Q4 this year together. So, thank you for watching and I see you in the next video. Bye.
